NEW RECOGNITION FOR DUNKIRK’S WORK IN INDUSTRIAL DECARBONISATION
As part of the region’s ongoing efforts to promote energy transition and industrial transformation, the University Littoral Côte d’Opale has won the ‘Compétences Métiers d’Avenir’ call for projects (for the “Industry decarbonisation” section of the France 2030 scheme) with the C-DéCIDé project (Centre for skills development for a low carbon industry).
Meeting the expectations of COMPANIES and young people
The project submitted by the ULCO in partnership with Artois University and the Picardie Jules-Verne University will make it possible to develop a comprehensive and diversified range of training courses to meet the needs of industry and the 16,000 jobs to be filled in the coming years. This will also meet the expectations of young people, who are increasingly aware of CSR and sustainable development issues when choosing their future occupation.
WHAT DOES IT INVOLVE?
This 5-year project aims to provide 2,300 hours of initial training with a view to educating 12,500 students. In terms of continuous professional development, 1,360 hours will be allocated to train 10,500 apprentices. €7,949,755 of funding has been granted towards a total cost of €16,102,027.
