3. Biogenic CO₂ Utilisation Plant
What if CO₂ became a resource rather than waste?
CO₂ can be used as a raw material to produce new products, materials, fuels and energy.
Biogenic CO₂, which comes from organic matter such as wood and plant waste, is prioritised because it does not introduce new fossil carbon into the atmosphere.
This biogenic CO₂ is collected from several industrial sites and transported by pipeline to a utilisation plant.
On its own or combined with other molecules, CO₂ can be reused in a wide range of industrial applications, including dry ice production, water treatment, food processing and construction materials. Advanced technologies can also use CO₂ to produce energy and synthetic fuels.
