In 2019, one thousand nine hundred tractors with 130 to 170hp intended for large agricultural operations left its assembly line. They were exported throughout the entire world. In 2019, KFM announced that it would make a significant investment during the course of the year 2020, involving the installation of a welding line in order to assemble the parts of its tractor cabs on site. For the company, the main value of welding on site lies in being more competitive while considerably reducing manufacturing turnaround times and production costs, too. “Until now, the cabs, welded in Japan, take two months to reach us”, states Keigo Fukomoto, KFM president. “We’re also going to be able to buy the different cab component parts in France and in Europe, which will lower costs significantly”. This investment should be accompanied by the creation of a dozen jobs.
