BASF INVESTS 6 MILLION EUROS IN DUNKIRK

AN IMPORTANT SITE FOR THE WORLD NUMBER 1 IN CHEMISTRY

Established in 1989, the factory of the world number 1 in chemistry employs almost 165 people in Gravelines. It is very important for the German company.  Specialists in herbicide formulation and packaging for the agriculture sector, it exports 400 different finished products. This represents around 30,000 tonnes exported to 60 countries (70% of the market is in the EU and Great Britain). This is BASF’s no. 1 factory in Europe in this sector. Having invested almost 40 million euros in the last decade, this new investment will help the group’s activity in the Dunkirk area to be sustained even longer.

BASF: A LONG-STANDING MEMBER OF DUNKERQUE PROMOTION

BASF has been a member of the agency Dunkerque Promotion since 2001.
Philippe Boudier, managing director of the Gravelines site since 2000, is the representative of the companies panel on our agency’s board of directors. He will soon hand over to his successor Bruno Lorenzi as he takes retirement. The whole Dunkerque Promotion team thanks him wholeheartedly and wishes him a happy retirement.
