Feasibility study of a CO₂ transport infrastructure in Dunkirk

RÉSUMÉ

NaTran conducted a feasibility study for a CO₂ transport network in the Dunkerque port area, with a capacity of approximately 4 Mt/year, including a compression station for an offshore pipeline to the North Sea in partnership with Equinor.

The project aligns with the French CCUS strategy and aims to reduce major industrial emissions in the region. The 30 km onshore route was optimized to minimize environmental and technical impacts. The study defined the pipeline sizing, CO₂ specifications, and provided an initial estimate of costs and the expected commissioning schedule.
