A first in France. This will work through depolymerisation of waste. The technology used is flash thermolysis in a dense fluidised bed. Its innovative nature lies in the fact that it works continuously under pressure. The objective is 7,500 hours per year, with an overall performance of over 85% and a reduced installation size compared to the volume of waste treated. In terms of industrial configuration, the biomass gasifier will be designed to treat 2 to 3 tonnes of waste per hour, or 16 to 24,000 tonnes of waste per year in order to produce 13,600 to 20,400 tonnes of condensable and non- condensable gas. Potential markets include communities responsible for waste treatment. Econox hopes to reap other benefits by using its industrial tool to manufacture the key components required for the assembly of the biomass gasifier. The demonstrator must be officially submitted during the 1st quarter of 2020.
