«I’m Hungarian and originally from a small village in the east of the country. I’m a professional handball player. In 2011, while I was playing for our national team, I received two offers: one from a club in Spain; the other from USDK, Dunkirk’s handball club. I didn’t know Dunkirk at all but I was aware of the club, its coach, and certain players. I found the sports project interesting and that’s what made me choose this city. It’s been almost 10 years now and I’ve never regretted it. My wife Ivett, also Hungarian and a professional handball player too, came here to join me. Our two children, Artur and Izabel, were born here. We both love Dunkirk. It’s a place where we immediately felt very welcome. Dunkirk has become our home. We have lots of friends. The part that won us over is the beach where we go often to have a walk with our children. I’m 33 and I’m at the end of my career as a high-level athlete but we intend on staying here even after my contract expires. We feel right at home in Dunkirk!.” »
