Dunkerque Promotion’s support played a decisive part in the arrival of Japanese farm tractor manufacturer Kubota in Bierne, with the creation of almost 150 jobs up for grabs. It was a difficult case for which a very good network and a perfect understanding of the territory’s economic realities was necessary. And Dunkerque Promotion, which, in addition, provides us with help with smaller but equally important cases concerning the economic development and attractiveness of our territory, such as the founding of the business incubator in Wormhout, fully understood the requirements. Dunkerque Promotion is vital for local authorities like ours who do not have the human and financial means for a fully manned economic department. I also like the fact that the body covers a territory shared between several local and regional authorities. This has helped us to see each other as complementary forces rather than competitors.
