TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED WAREHOUSES

37,000 m2 of positive temperature cold rooms and 40,000 m2 of negative cold rooms allow fragile goods to be conserved on the port of Dunkirk. Dunfrost, Dunfresh, Nordfrigo, 24HFrost, Sofrilog and Destock FCL are some of the logisticians offering temperature-controlled storage spaces.

DRY WAREHOUSES

The port area has almost 90,000 m2 of dry warehouses for the storage of all types of goods. 

Dunkerque Logistique, DHL, CNJ Group and many others have high quality spaces, providing you with a safe and reliable service. Some also provide high added value services. There are also 300,000 m2 of dry warehouses outside the port area (Mauffrey, DBS, Decock, De Neuter, ESG, etc). A further 280,000 m2 will soon be added to this.

RO-RO TERMINAL

Dunkirk is the 2nd French port for trade with Great Britain. Aside from crossings via the Eurostar, DFDS makes 12 sailings per day to Dover and 5 sailings per week to Rosslare from the ferry terminal.

The new “Ireland Terminal” and the new passenger reception, security and check-in facilities are a further step in the development of ro-ro traffic.

CONHEXA

Conhexa is a Belgian company that has been located in the port of Dunkirk since 1993 and employs around 150 staff. Since then, Conhexa has been constantly investing in logistics warehouses for fresh and frozen products, thus supporting the development of the “container” sector. In the port of Dunkirk, it has:

  • Dunfrost: 40,000 m3 of negative cold stores  
  • Dunfresh: 28,000 m3 of temperature-controlled warehouses specialising in fruit and vegetable logistics

NORFRIGO

Norfrigo, a family company founded in 1965 specialising in logistics for seafood, has refrigerated warehouses extending 48,000 m3 or space for 10,400 pallets on the port of Dunkirk.

BORDER INSPECTION POST, AN ESSENTIAL INSTRUMENT

Unveiled in 2015, the Border Inspection Post (veterinary and phytosanitary inspection service – BIP/BCP) is located in the immediate vicinity of the ferry and container terminals. A time saver when it comes to inspecting your:

  • Products of animal origin intended for human consumption,  
  • Products of animal origin intended for animal feed, 
  • Products of plant origin intended for animal feed, 
  • Plants and plant products, including wood.
