class=\"isSelectedEnd\">On the eve of the Choose France Summit, Japanese group <a href=\"https:\/\/www.softbank.jp\/en\/\/\">SoftBank<\/a> announced a <strong>major investment in artificial intelligence infrastructure in France<\/strong>, including the construction of a <strong>data center<\/strong> and a <strong>manufacturing facility for data center modules in the Dunkirk area<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>A total of \u20ac45 billion has been allocated to the Hauts-de-France region, with between <strong>\u20ac30 billion and \u20ac35 billion earmarked for Dunkirk<\/strong> and its port area. This investment makes the project one of the largest ever undertaken in the region.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"project-details\">Project Details<\/h3>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The project includes the construction of a <strong>1.3-gigawatt data center<\/strong> within the Port of Dunkirk, as well as a <strong>manufacturing facility for data center modules<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The data center and production facility, which are expected to become operational by <strong>2030<\/strong>, will <strong>create an additional 500 jobs<\/strong>. These infrastructures are designed to <strong>support the large-scale development of artificial intelligence<\/strong> by meeting the growing demand for computing power.<\/p>\n<p>With this investment, <strong>Dunkirk is positioning itself as a strategic European hub<\/strong> for artificial intelligence technologies, attracting industrial and energy investments on an unprecedented scale.<\/p>\n<p>The project is part of a broader industrial development strategy for the region, which is already undergoing several major transformations, particularly in the fields of energy,
