This event has become a key milestone for the European industrial ecosystem committed to the transition toward carbon neutrality. Despite this significant carbon footprint, the region contributes 3.8 billion USD to the national GDP and supports 24,200 jobs.<\/p>\n<p>Faced with this reality, a comprehensive strategy is being implemented to <strong>transform this challenge into an opportunity<\/strong>. Through the <a href=\"https:\/\/dunkerquelenergiecreative.fr\/en\/low-carbon-industrial-areas-zibac-lets-accelerate-industrial-decarbonisation\/\">DKarbonation project<\/a>, Dunkirk has joined the global \u201cTransitioning Industrial Clusters\u201d initiative supported by the World Economic Forum.<\/p>\n<p>The goal is clear: <strong>achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 for the living area and by 2050 for the industrial platform.<\/strong> According to the EU roadmap, a substantial share of CO\u2082e emissions will be prevented annually by 2035.
