Whether you\u2019re a medicine student or a practising health professional, <\/strong>Dunkirk welcomes you with arms wide open and offers you a  variety of subsidies as well as bespoke support <\/strong> so that you can work as a health professional in Dunkirk<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n

A WARM WELCOME FOR HEALTH PROFESSIONALS<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

The Greater Dunkirk Urban Council offers subsidies for self-employed practitioners <\/strong>who wish to move to the Dunkirk basin:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • For those setting up for the first time<\/strong>, to help with the purchase of medical or IT equipment for the practice and work carried out within the practice.<\/strong> Cover for half the cost of the materials up to \u20ac10,000 and half the cost of the fit out work up to \u20ac20,000.<\/li>\n
  • For self-employed nurses<\/strong> wishing to undertake advanced nursing training<\/strong>, the Greater Dunkirk Urban Council offers a subsidy of \u20ac10,000 per year, with a commitment to work as an advanced practice nurse in the area for 3 years.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\r\n\n\n\r\n\r\n

    MEDICINE STUDENTS<\/h2>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t

    The Greater Dunkirk Urban Council also offers grants for future health professionals:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • A subsidy <\/strong>to cover the cost of studies<\/strong> for young people admitted to study the Specific Access Health Course (PASS)<\/strong> and who have been resident in the territory for at least two years<\/strong>. The latter takes into account the household allowance scheme of France’s benefits office (CAF) (from \u20ac2,000 to \u20ac13,000 for the most economically deprived households).<\/li>\n
    • A commitment scholarship of \u20ac10,000 per year<\/strong> for years two to five of the programme. In exchange, the student undertakes<\/strong> to settle in<\/strong> one of the municipalities in the area at the end of their training for a minimum of 5 years.<\/strong> This scholarship is intended for all students of medicine without any income or residence criteria.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • A mobility grant<\/strong> (\u20ac130 per month of internship) for interns<\/strong> doing an internship in community medicine<\/strong> (i.e. outside a hospital setting) intended to cover the travel expenses of young people who are still in training, while allowing them to explore the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      These grants can all be combined.<\/p>\n

      For its part, the Hauts-de-Flandre Greater District Council (CCHF) is also keen to encourage future practitioners<\/strong> to set up a practice<\/strong> in the area by providing mystery boxes<\/strong> for internship<\/strong> students working for a local practitioner. Three hot topics: sports, food and well-being, with entry tickets for tourism professionals and the region’s top facilities (Lin\u00e9o, Belfry, etc).<\/p>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<\/section>\r\n\r\n\n\n\n\n
